The Lathem 400e is an economical, non-calculating time clock machine. It has a print pattern that includes day of week, month, date, and time. Which is unusual for a clock at this price range. Nicely designed, easy to use.
Lathem has been in business since 1919. The 400e is their way of answering the flood of cheap time clocks entering the market. An economical price, backed by a long standing company.
To print, insert a time card into the slot on the top. The 400E will automatically feed and align the card for printing.
The 400E does not calculate hours. If you record employee hours for payroll, you must manually add the hours by hand (We have a free time clock calculator to help). With only have a few employees, this should be fine.
Here is a sample.
If you want, employees can select the appropriate time card column for recording in, out and lunch punches. Simply by pushing one of four buttons at the top. You also have the option to print late arrivals and early departures in red.
This ensures that you will never need to adjust the clock for Daylight Savings Time or Leap Years. It maintains a perpetual calendar that keeps the correct time and date and even retains all of the time clock settings in the event of a power outage.
